Post-Construction Cleaning in Durham Region
Construction dust is different from household dust. It is fine, it settles repeatedly, and it needs staged cleaning rather than a single pass.

Who this service is for
- Homeowners after a renovation or addition
- Builders and contractors handing over a finished space
- Kitchen, bathroom or basement projects that spread dust through the home
- Properties needing a final clean before photography or possession
What this service actually addresses
Staged, top-down dust removal
Fine dust settles again after the first pass. Post-construction cleaning works top-down and repeats surfaces so the finish holds. A single visit may not remove all dust from a heavily affected space.
New surfaces need care
Fresh paint, new cabinetry, tile grout and finished floors each tolerate different products. Methods are chosen for the surface, not applied uniformly.
What this service is not
This is finish cleaning. It does not include debris hauling, construction waste removal, paint stripping, adhesive stripping or hazardous material work. Those require the appropriate trade.
Why we don't publish a fixed price
Scope depends on how much of the property was affected and how much clean-up the trades already completed. The assessment asks before recommending.
What changes your scope and price
- Size of the affected area versus the whole home
- Amount of residual dust left on site
- Whether floors, cabinetry and fixtures are already protected or exposed
- Access, elevators and site conditions
You see your full price, HST, deposit and remaining balance before you confirm anything.
How to prepare
- Have construction debris and materials removed before the visit
- Confirm active trade work is complete in the cleaning areas
- Flag any surfaces still curing, such as fresh paint or sealed grout
Questions people ask before booking
Do you remove renovation debris?
No. Debris hauling and construction waste removal are not standard cleaning services and require a separate trade. We clean once debris and materials are removed from the cleaning areas.
Will one visit remove all the dust?
The staged process is designed for this, but very large or heavily affected areas may need a follow-up visit, and we will tell you if that seems likely.
Can you clean before the final inspection?
Yes, once active trade work is complete in the areas being cleaned.
