Community Care is how we review requests for supported or complimentary residential cleaning from neighbours in Durham Region, Ontario going through genuinely difficult circumstances.
What Community Care is
A private, case-by-case review — not an automatic entitlement or a discount program.
Considered case by case
Every request is reviewed against our current schedule and capacity. We only commit to what we can actually deliver.
Same professional standard
Supported services receive a written Scope of Work and the same standard of work as any other Fresh & Shiny booking.
Private by default
We never publish names, photographs or stories, and we never ask anyone to share their situation publicly in exchange for help.
Within what cleaning can do
Community Care is residential cleaning only — no mould remediation, hazardous material handling, debris removal, junk hauling or repairs.
How to make a request
Step 1
Send the request
Call 289.892.5016 or email marlenisi@freshandshiny.ca and describe the situation, the property and the areas that need attention.
Step 2
We review it privately
Requests are reviewed by the Fresh & Shiny office. Details shared with us are treated confidentially and are not published.
Step 3
We respond honestly
If we can help, we confirm what we are able to provide and when. If we cannot, we say so directly rather than leaving the request open.
Requests can be submitted on behalf of someone else, as long as the household is aware of the request and can provide access to the property.
