Fresh & Shiny is a locally operated professional cleaning company serving homes across Durham Region, Ontario.
Since 2017, we have provided condition-based residential cleaning services in Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, Oshawa and Courtice. Our approach is built around careful cleaning, clear communication and a written Scope of Work that defines what is included before a service is booked.
Instead of assigning a service based only on square footage or property type, we ask about the areas that need attention and their current cleaning condition. This allows us to recommend an appropriate service, prepare the correct cleaning scope and present the complete price before the customer commits.

Fresh & Shiny has served Durham Region households since 2017. Our experience has shown us that no two homes — and no two cleaning requests — are exactly alike.
A maintained home, a property requiring a detailed reset and a residence with significant buildup should not receive the same cleaning recommendation. For that reason, Fresh & Shiny uses a condition-based process to determine the appropriate service and Scope of Work.
We provide our own professional cleaning equipment and use cleaning products and methods selected for the surface, condition and approved work. Our objective is to complete the agreed cleaning carefully, safely and consistently — not to rush through a generic checklist.

Regular & Recurring Cleaning
Ongoing residential maintenance cleaning available on weekly, every-two-weeks, every-three-weeks or monthly schedules for eligible recurring clients.
Deep Cleaning Services
Detailed, condition-based cleaning for homes or selected areas that need more attention than recurring maintenance cleaning.
Heavy-Duty Cleaning
Intensive residential cleaning for approved homes or areas with significant buildup and more demanding cleaning conditions.
Move-In & Move-Out Cleaning
Detailed cleaning for approved empty or transitioning properties before moving in or after moving out.
Post-Construction Cleaning
Specialized cleaning for approved residential properties affected by renovation or construction dust and residue.
Commercial Cleaning
Condition-based cleaning for approved offices and commercial facilities, reviewed according to the property, access requirements and requested Scope of Work.

The Scope of Work is the agreement
Every booking is built around a written Scope of Work. It identifies the approved areas and cleaning tasks so the customer and cleaning team understand what is included before the appointment begins.
Condition determines the service
The recommended cleaning level is based on the selected areas and their actual condition — not assumptions about the home's age, neighbourhood or property type.
Pricing is shown before the customer commits
The applicable price, HST, booking deposit and remaining balance are presented for review before the customer confirms an eligible online booking. Requests that need office review continue through our review process instead.
Changes go through the Fresh & Shiny office
Additions, rescheduling and cancellations are handled through the Fresh & Shiny office so the Scope of Work, price and booking record remain accurate. Cleaning team members do not negotiate scope or pricing at the property.

Professional cleaning within a clearly defined scope

When a property requires work outside professional cleaning, we explain the limitation and may recommend contacting an appropriately qualified specialist.
Community involvement
Our Community Care Cleaning Program allows Fresh & Shiny to privately consider residential cleaning requests from Durham Region neighbours experiencing disability, reduced mobility, illness, recovery or serious hardship.
Requests are reviewed case by case and remain subject to the household's cleaning needs, safety, location, available resources and our current capacity. Community Care is not an automatic entitlement or guaranteed complimentary service.
